How do I apply to become a tutor?
You can apply by filling out our online application form. Once submitted, our team will review your qualifications and get in touch with the next steps.
What qualifications do I need to become a tutor?
We require tutors to have expertise in their subject area, either through formal education or professional experience. Teaching or tutoring experience is also preferred but not mandatory. Teaching experience is an asset, but not a strict requirement. We are looking for individuals with strong subject matter knowledge and a passion for helping others learn.
What qualifications do your tutors have?
Our tutors are either certified educators or are working towards their teaching credentials.
What subjects can I tutor?
The time commitment is flexible and based on your availability. You can choose the number of hours you want to work each week.
Do I need to create lesson plans?
While it is not always required to create full lesson plans, we do encourage tutors to have a structured approach and materials prepared for each session to ensure productive learning.
How do I get matched with students?
After approval, we match you with students based on your qualifications and their learning needs. You can accept or decline tutoring requests based on your schedule.
How do I get paid?
Tutors are independent contractors paid on a per-session basis. Payments are made directly through bank transfer and processed bi-weekly.
What are the tutoring session formats?
Sessions are held online via video calls. This allows for flexibility and convenience for both tutors and students.
What if I need to reschedule a session?
If you need to reschedule, please notify the student and our team at least 24 hours in advance to accommodate changes.
How does the platform support me as a tutor?
We offer resources, tools, and ongoing support to help you succeed in your tutoring sessions. You can also reach out to our team for guidance at any time.
Can I tutor part-time?
Absolutely! Many of our tutors work part-time and manage their own schedules based on their availability.
What are the technology requirements?
You will need a stable internet connection, and a computer or laptop for nline tutoring sessions. Most tutors use Zoom, Google Meet, or other video conferencing platforms.
What happens if my student cancels a session?
If a student cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, you may still be compensated for the session. Specific policies will be outlined during onboarding.
What do I do if I have an issue with a student?
If any issues arise, please contact our support team immediately. We are here to assist with any conflicts or concerns that may arise.
How long does it take to get started after applying?
The application process typically takes 1-2 weeks. After your application is reviewed and you are accepted, you will be able to start tutoring right away!
